Baseball Historian Biography

Admiral Schlei was a noted defensive catcher during baseball's Dead Ball Era. A native of Cincinnati he broke into the majors with the Cincinnati Reds in 1904 and batted .237 in 97 games. Prior to the 1909 season he was traded to the New York Giants.
