A team-leader and a defensive stalwart during baseball’s Dead Ball Era, Malachi Kittridge was also well-regarded by pitchers as a pitch-caller during his tenure in the major leagues. In 1894 Malachi Kittridge batted a career-high .315 for the Cubs. In 1904 he played and was an interim manager for the Washington Nationals of the American League. Baseball History |
