Borbon was manager Sparky Anderson's ace closer and he appeared in 80 games in 1973, went 11-4, ERA of 2.16 with 14 saves in 121 innings. Pedro Borbon complied a 0.63 ERA while pitching in seven NL Playoffs from 1973-76.
