Jake Beckley had a career that spanned 20 years but never played on a pennant winning team. His career batting average was .308, with 2,931 hits, scored 1,600 runs. Beckley was elected to the 'Hall of Fame' in 1971 even though not a single member of the voting committee had ever seen him play.
