Indians, Giants Set for Richest Classic

NEW YORK - It will be Sal (The Barber) Maglie vs. Bob Lemon when the Giants and Indians open their battle for world baseball supremacy Wednesday...The Giants will enter the fall classic 8-5 underdogs but most observers believe the National League champions will carry the struggle at least to six games...

...The series may develop into one of the most spectacular in years. For only the third time in series history it will pit the batting champions of the two leagues against each other with the fabulous Willie Mays and Bobby Avila as participants.
