A native of Chicago, Eileen O'Brien was one of the leading women players in the Chicago League before joining the Muskegon Lassies of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League in 1948. And, after her pro career ended she taught in the Chicago Public School systems as a Physical Education teacher and Librarian for 43 years.
