Dave Tomlin was drafted by Cincinnati in 1967 and was trained as a reliever during his stints in the minor leagues prior to joining the Cincinnati Reds during 1972. His best seasons were from 1978-1980 with Cincinnati’s Big Red Machine. In 1978 he won nine games in a row all in relief. A left-handed control pitcher, he had a very fine career walks to innings pitched ratio and fashioned a solid career ERA of 3.82. |
