Baseball Historian Biography

One of the all-time stars of the Boston Red Sox, Dwight Evans was one of the best right-fielders of his era. His powerful throwing arm and great range won numerous ball games for the Boston Red Sox. To go along with his fielding, Evans was a top hitter and runs producer. Between 1984-89, he had four seasons of more than 100 RBI's and averaged 32 home runs in those years. In 1984, Evans scored 121 runs, pounded 37 doubles, hit 8 triples, and 32 HR's. He supplied power to go along with his top fielding.
