As good as it gets defensively at shortstop, Mark Belanger was an eight time Gold Glove winner, and anchored the left side of the infield with Hall of Fame third baseman, Brooks Robinson, in what many call 'the best defensively in baseball history.' Belanger hit only .228 lifetime, however he collected numerous clutch-hits in playoff and World Series games. He helped the Orioles win two World Series, 1966, 1970, four AL pennants - 1966, 1969, 1971, 1979, and two other AL East titles - 1973-74...
