Glenn Beckert was a star performer at second base for the Chicago Cubs during the 1960s-1970's. He played in four straight All-Star games and was picked by the fans as the starting 2nd baseman in 1970 and 1971. In 1968 Beckert had a 27-game hitting streak, also had a 26-game streak in 1973. Glenn batted around .300 throughout his major league career. He was an excellent base runner, fine fielder and won the Gold Glove Award in 1968. Glenn Beckert played his whole career with the Cubs.
