Question 2 - Who Was I?

I was born on August 7th, 1929 and played in the majors for 14 years with my rookie year being in 1953 with STL. I pitched in a total of 412 games for eight different teams, and started in 171 of those games.

It just goes to show you that you never know.  In my second year in the majors, I lost 21 games (with Baltimore), and for my career, I lost 10 more games than I won (81 Wins & 91 Losses). I did play on five World Series teams ('55, '56, '57,'58, and ''62) though, and in the fifth game of the '56 World Series, I accomplished something that will stand as a landmark in the history of baseball.  In the subway series, I pitched a 2-0 shutout.  Besides giving up no runs, did I mention that I also gave up no hits, no walks, and no errors? I pitched a perfect game in the World Series.  Wow!
