Question 14- Who Was I?

Swing away and guess who I was? Many historians rank me as the best right fielder in history.  I was a major leaguer at age 17 and played my whole career for the New York Giants; 1926-1946.  I had a strong throwing arm and must state was the top fielding OF in my time and was often called "the heart and soul of the New York Giants." I was the first National Leaguer to hit 500 career HR's and stand 8th among major leaguers with 1860 RBI's and 9th with 1859 runs scored.  I never swung at bad pitched balls and was the all-time NL leader for most career walks, until it was broken by Joe Morgan in 1982.  I walked 1708 times and only fanned 896 times. My all-around play ranks me with only a handful of ball players.  For my career, I batted .304 with 2876 hits, 498 doubles and 511 HR's.  My first and last names only have 3 letters in each.
