Thomas, Outfielder, Pittsburgh Pirates 1950's. In his
rookie season of 1953, Frank Thomas delighted the Pirate fans
with his homers. Thomas walloped 22 doubles and smashed 30 home
runs; including 8 homers in the last 14 games, and he had 102
RBI's all this in his rookie year. Frank Thomas had fans
in Forbes Field cheering for him to poke another longball. Thomas
was a fine defensive outfielder with a good throwing arm. |
