Chicago Cubs 1930

After Winning the Pennant in 1929, the Cubs Fell Short in 1930 and finished in second place with a 90-64 record in the then eight team National League.

The hot-hitting Chicago Cubs were led by the phenomenal record setting batting of outfielder Hack Wilson, who hit .356 while lofting a National League record 56 home runs which stood for some 60 years. And, Hack Wilson created sensational headline news by driving in a still-unbroken total of 192 runs - Note: major league baseball officially changed Wilson's RBI total from 190 to 192 in Year 2000 after reviewing old newspaper box scores.
