After winning the National Central with a 91-71 record under the guidance of manager Dusty Baker, the Reds are shooting for nothing less than winning the 2011 World Series.

 

In 2010, first baseman Joey Votto led Cincinnati in all of the following categories .324 batting average, 36 doubles, 37 home runs, 106 Runs, 113 RBIs, 91 walks, .424 on-base-pct, .600 slugging percentage and was 2nd with 16 stolen bases. And, for his outstanding baseball play, Joey Votto was voted the National League Most Valuable Player 2010 MVP. 

 

Outfielders Jay Bruce hit 25 homers and Drew Stubbs 22.

 

Cincinnati is set to start right handed Edinson Volquez in the team’s opening day game vs Milwaukee on March 31 2011.
