In the 1979 World Series, the 'Lumber Company' of Pittsburgh put on a mighty hitting display with five Pirates each collecting 10 hits or more. They are: Willie Stargell, Tim Foli, Omar Moreno, Phil Garner and Dave Parker. Phil Garner hit .500 and Stargell .400 and he hit the Pirates only three HR's.
