1999 Season - AL Central 63-92, 3rd Place Finish

2000 Outlook - Forecast: 2nd or 3rd Place, perhaps a playoff berth for new Tiger manager Phil Garner. Starting Pitching Rotation: Hideo Nomo, Dave Milicki, Brian Moehler, C.J. Nitkowski and Jeff Weaver.

Meat Of The Batting Order, 3-4-5 hitters: Bobby Higginson, Juan Gonzalez and Tony Clark. Bullpen Closer: Todd Jones New Century - New Ball Park: Things are definitely looking up for the Detroit Tigers. The addition of Juan Gonzalez's batting punch will help Bobby Higginson, Karim Garcia, Juan Encarcion Tony Clark and Dean Palmer put up some big numbers and make for some good times again in the Motor City.

New Comerica Park will help stabilize the pitching staff that yielded runs galore in the old Tiger Stadium. Look for the Tigers' infield to be vastly improved under manager Phil Garner's direction.

IF Damon Easley, Delvi Cruz, Gabe Alvarez and Shane Halter will be one of the key components in whether-or-not the Tigers return to past glory.
